I don't know anything about Hide's guitars. Sadly, I stopped playing a long time ago, but even so: I know I wouldn't buy a guitar by mail order, especially an electric guitar: no amount of praise for any given model, even from the finest of players or the most competent of judges, will ever replace actually playing the thing and experiencing what it feels like in your hands. If you're in Tokyo, you might want to go shopping for guitars in the Kanda / Ochanomizu area. They've got an insane number of music stores there.

Hey, do you guys know anything about hide-city’s reproduction models of hide’s guitars?

I was thinking of ordering a couple when I got the money, but the thing is I want to make sure that

A) They’re worth the money, meaning that they are playable, working, guitars that are worth 152,000 yen

B) See above, that’s really important.

“Samurai” is one of their cool music and “Shacho” is the bassist. The guitarist and the band members want to show “Japanese Samurai Spirit” by their music.

Yeah, he was easily the best guitarist on that stage at the university festival. I wasn’t sure, though: when the crowd went wild and chanted, “Samurai, samurai, samurai!” and, “Shacho, shacho, shacho!” — that was aimed at him, wasn’t it?

Bill — Hello! Thank you for your comment. I’d be glad to get tips playing the guitar so I will send a mail to you.
Some magazines like GIGS have a section about bands seeking guitarist. Of course, the bands are amateur but maybe some of them fit your style.

Ruedi �? The performance was so scary that I sometimes failed to play the guitar. But it was a lot of fun and so exciting. I want to play on stage again.
I’ve watched Asty Free’s performance twice. The guitarist is a great player. I was surprised at his fingers. They flew over the guitar!

I like your stuff, Bill! Getting to work in Japan as a musician won't be that easy, I'm afraid, but you might want to talk to Chris about studying in Tokyo -- that would give you a toehold and networking opportunities.

Thank you again for your comment on my performance of “Art of Life”, Yoshiki is a huge influence on my songwriting, he made me appreciate the power of music in a way that I had long forgotten.

I’ve always dreamed of going to Japan and playing in a band, because I love the Japanese music scene.
